The new Ahrens and Flaherty musical will begin performances March 22 at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre.

Five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman (The Producers, Contact) and Tony Award-winning authors Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once On This Island) talk to Playbill about the upcoming production of Marie, Dancing Still — A New Musical at The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle.

New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Tiler Peck stars as Young Marie, a dancer who pursues her ambitions and becomes immortal by posing for Impressionist artist Edgar Degas. She becomes the inspiration for his most famous sculpture: "Little Dancer." Peck stars opposite Tony nominee Terrence Mann as Degas. The cast also features Tony nominee Louise Pitre as Adult Marie, Tony nominee Dee Hoty as Mary Cassat, Tony winner Karen Ziemba as Martine Van Goethem, Jenny Powers as Antoinette Van Goethem, Kyle Harris as Christian, and Christopher Gurr as Corbeil.

The show begins performances March 22 with an official opening on April 5 and runs through April 14.
