News Sneak Preview: PBS' "American Masters" Will Salute Carole King (Video) Songwriter/performer Carole King, whose life formed the blueprint for Broadway's Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will be the subject of a February segment of the PBS series "American Masters." Producers have released a preview video.

Titled "Carole King: Natural Woman," the segment will premiere on PBS Feb. 19 at 9 PM ET; check local listings.

The special will "delve into the hit singer-songwriter's life and career from 1960s New York to the music mecca of 70s L.A. to the present. Carole King joins collaborators and family in new interviews, while rare home movies, performances and photos complete the tapestry."

The latter is a reference to King's four-time Grammy-winning album "Tapestry," which will mark the 45th anniversary of its release on Feb. 10.
