"Soap" Spouses Helmond and Mandan Reunite in Falcon Theatre's Romance, Feb. 8

News   "Soap" Spouses Helmond and Mandan Reunite in Falcon Theatre's Romance, Feb. 8 Katherine Helmond and Robert Mandan, who played feuding spouses on television's soap opera spoof "Soap," will be reunited on stage in the Falcon Theatre's A Twilight Romance. The Mayo Simon play will begin performance in Los Angeles on Feb. 8.

On "Soap," which ran in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Helmond played the rich and ditzy Jessica Tate to Mandan's flustered, philandering husband Chester. Gilbert has a change of heart about his wayward habits and comes to appreciate Hetty anew when he discovers he has a heart condition. Simon's many plays include Walking to Waldheim & Happiness, L.A. Under Siege , A Rich Full Life and Elaine's Daughter. A Twilight Romance will run until March 2. Jules Aaron directs.

Ticket prices range from $25.00 to $37.50. The Falcon Theatre is located at 4252 Riverside Drive, in Burbank. For information and reservations call (818) 955-8101.
