News Soho Rep Chronicled in New Book; Kathleen Turner; Marin Ireland and Michael John LaChiusa Contribute The 35-year history of Soho Rep, the Off-Broadway company that delivered the American premiere of Sarah Kane's Blasted and, most recently, David Adjmi’s Elective Affinities, is chronicled in a new book from On Stage Press.

Released Dec. 12, the 164-page book features reflections and comments from a host of artists, behind-the-scenes administrators, and even high-profile fans, who have been a part of the Obie-winning company. It is edited by Raphael Martin.

Notable contributors include Soho Rep artistic director Sarah Benson, Reed Birney, Louis Cancelmi, Melissa James Gibson, Marin Ireland, Anne Kauffman, Richard Maxwell, Kathleen Turner, Daniel Aukin, Tim Blake Nelson, Mac Wellman, Will Eno, Young Jean Lee, David Lan, Alex Conley, James Urbaniak, Marlene Swartz, Jerry Engelbach, Michael John LaChiusa, Steve Cosson, Naomi Iizuka, Donald Holder, and the Nature Theater of Oklahoma's Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper.

Included in the pages of the publication is the full text of Adjmi's one-act monologue Elective Affinities, which Soho Rep (along with piece by piece productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory) recently presented with Tony-winning actress Zoe Caldwell.

The book is published as part of Soho Reps FEED program, the organization's literary and humanities program.
