Off-Broadway's Soho Rep celebrates the life and career of Tony Award-winning stage veteran Marian Seldes during its 2011 spring gala May 2 at the Highline Ballroom.

Eric Bogosian and Tim Blake Nelson host the 6:30 PM event that promises scenes and songs from past and future Soho Rep productions. Seldes (Tony winner for A Delicate Balance) is honored for her work for over 60 years on stage.

Performers include Jomama Jones and The Lisps; the latter will offer an excerpt from their new musical Futurity. Also part of the evening are Blythe Danner, Ted Danson, Parker Posey, Peter Dinklage, Lili Taylor, Michael Stuhlbarg, Marin Ireland, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and John Guare.

Seldes' most recent Broadway outing was Terrence McNally's Deuce in 2007, starring opposite fellow Tony winner Angela Lansbury. Seldes has been Tony-nominated for her performances in Father's Day, Deathtrap, Ring Round the Moon and Dinner at Eight. Her extensive stage work includes The Play About the Baby, Three Tall Women, Equus and Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams. From 1969 to 1992 she served on the faculty of the Juilliard School.
