The Worth Street Theatre Company continues its 1998-99 season with the second show of a four-show season, VIII, featuring 42nd Street's Steve Arlen, opening Nov. 8.

The production will take place at Worth Street Theatre's new home (not on Worth Street) , is the 75-seat Tribeca Playhouse located at 111 Reade Street in Manhattan.

VIII, produced by Burning Bush Productions, is a solo performance with music described as "an evening with Henry the Eighth."

The season opened last month with Snapshots '98, a combination of two one-act plays - Peter Hedges' Imagining Brad and Tom Disch's dramatic poem The Cardinal Detoxes.

After achieving critical success with last year's The Seagull: The Hamptons: 1990's, director Jeff Cohen returns to the good doctor Chekhov with Uncle Vanya. Cohen transposes the Chekhov comedy/drama of unrequited love from late 19th Century Russia to the United States and the hills of West Virginia. The fourth show in Worth Street's schedule has yet to be chosen, although it will run April/May of 1999.
