Detroit Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of Craig Pospisil's comedy Somewhere in Between, running through May 11.

It's about a well intentioned guy whose neither here nor there; whether he's getting a cup of coffee, on the job, on the go, at the bank--he ends up in the middle. This goofy guy in an indecent world ("or," as the Rep points out, "a decent guy in a goofy world") is joined by a lot of other "oblique" characters, from "a homeless man who wants to be a tour guide," to a fellow worker whose "total social perspective resides between one knee and the other."

The six-member multiracial cast is made up of rep veterans, with four cast members playing several roles.

The rep season closes with Amazing Grace, Michael Cristofer's play about a serial killer, running May 22-June 29. For tickets or more information, please call (313) 868-1347, or refer to the
