Complete casting for the stage version of the Jane Austen classic was recently announced. In addition to Bryne, the company also includes Bianca Amato (Elizabeth Bennet), Erin Anderson (Lydia Bennet), Julian Bailey (Sir William Lucas), Robert O. Berdahl (Col. Fitzwilliam), Raye Birk (Mr. Bennet), Jennifer Blagen (Miss Caroline Bingley), Virginia S. Burke (Miss Anne de Bourgh), Cheyenne Casebier (Jane Bennet), Laura Esping (Charlotte Lucas), Bard Goodrich (Mr. Wickham), Matthew Greer (Mr. Darcy), Summer Hagen (Kitty Bennet), Richard S. Iglewski (Mr. Collins), Heather Kendzierski (Mrs. Jenkinson), Tracey Maloney (Mary Bennet), Lee Mark Nelson (Mr. Charles Bingley), Alex Podulke (Denny/Captain Carter) and Sally Wingert (Mrs. Bennet). James Maxwell adapted the romantic comedy for the stage. The Guthrie will present the Maxwell version revised by Alan Stanford. Joe Dowling directs the production, which plays the Guthrie July 26-Aug. 30.
In addition to her Sondheim work, Barbara Bryne appeared in the film version of "Amadeus" and the Off-Broadway production of Entertaining Mr. Sloane. She has played over 20 roles at Canada's Stratford Festival and over 50 roles for the Guthrie.
