News Sondheim on Sondheim's Wopat to Play Birdland in May Tony-nominated actor Tom Wopat, currently back on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, will go it solo at Birdland in May.

Wopat will play the famed jazz venue May 31. Show time is 7 PM. There is a $25 charge for side seating and a $35 charge for center seating.

Tom Wopat received Tony nominations for his performances in A Catered Affair and in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun (opposite Bernadette Peters). He has also appeared on Broadway in I Love My Wife, City of Angels, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, 42nd Street and Glengarry Glen Ross. Perhaps best known for his seven-season run on "The Dukes of Hazzard," Wopat has released several albums with CBS and Capitol Records. His latest CDs are "Dissertation on the State of Bliss" and "Consider It Swung."
