The company will release both a two-disc deluxe edition and a highlights version of the soundtrack Dec. 18. The highlights disc will exclude the "Opening Title," "Alms Alms," "Ladies and Their Sensitivities" and the "Final Scene" as well as the bonus content (including a bound booklet).

Longtime Stephen Sondheim collaborators, orchestrator Jonathan Tunick and music supervisor Paul Gemignani, worked on the soundtrack. Mike Higham produced the albums recorded in London.

Tim Burton's take on "Sweeney Todd" hits movie theatres nationwide Dec. 21. John Logan ("The Aviator," "Gladiator," Never the Sinner) penned the DreamWorks/Warner Bros. film adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler musical.
