Sondheim Unplugged, the cabaret-concert series in which original cast members from Stephen Sondheim shows sing songs from his musicals at a grand piano, will end its run at the Laurie Beechman Theatre Nov. 28.

Hosted by Phil Geoffrey Bond, Sondheim Unplugged launched at the Beechman in July 2010. The final performances will take place Oct. 30 and Nov. 28 at 7 PM. Mark Hartman (Sondheim On Sondheim) will serve as musical director.

Scheduled to appear Oct. 30 are original Company and A Little Night Music cast member Teri Ralston, as well as A Little Night Music revival cast member Hunter Ryan Herdlicka. They will be joined by Christina Bianco, Jim Brochu, Joshua Cruz, Steven Harrison, Julie Reyburn, Steve Schalchlin, Lucia Spina and Stephen Wallem.

Guests for the Nov. 28 closing night will be announced shortly.

Throughout its nearly year-and-a-half run, Sondheim Unplugged has welcomed original Sondheim musical cast members including Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd, A Little Night Music), Sarah Rice (Sweeney Todd), Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George), Annie Golden (Assassins), Ken Jennings (Sweeney Todd), Victoria Mallory (Follies, A Little Night Music), Kurt Peterson (Follies), Donna McKechnie (Company), George Lee Andrews (A Little Night Music), Steve Elmore (Company), Teri Ralston (A Little Night Music), Melanie Vaughan (Sunday in the Park with George), Joy Franz (Into the Woods, Assassins), Pamela Winslow Kashani (Into the Woods) and revival cast members Erin Davie (A Little Night Music), Crista Moore (Gypsy) and Terri White (Follies).

Sondheim Unplugged earned a 2011 Bistro Award for Outstanding Cabaret Series, and was nominated for a 2011 MAC Award.
