News Songbook Series Offers Free "Ladies Night" Concert Nov. 29 The Songbook Series — presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul's — continues Nov. 29 with "Ladies Night."

The free concert at the Donnell Library Theater will focus the spotlight on up-n-coming female composers and lyricists. Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes penned by Barbara Anselmi, CarlaRose Arnone, Jill Abramovitz, Joy Son, Gayla Morgan and Beth Falcone. Show time is 6 PM. John Znidarsic, the evening's producer and director, will also host the one-night-only event. Songs will be performed by several cabaret and theatre favorites.

The Songbook series, now in its 15th year, presents "the newest music of Broadway in live performance by today's brightest talents." The works of Jason Robert Brown, Andrew Lippa, Gerard Alessandrini and John Bucchino have all been part of the acclaimed series.

The Donnell Library Center is located at 20 West 53rd Street. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 5 PM. For further information, call Arts and Artists at (212) 265-3495, ext. 336.
