News   Songs from New Musical Alyss Featured on Michaels' "Wonderful at Last" CD
Famed entertainer Marilyn Michaels and her son, Mark Wilk, have collaborated on a new musical entitled Alyss.

Alyss, according to Michaels, is "very loosely based on 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' and is a cross between Wicked and The Wiz." Four songs from the musical — "In Wonderland," "Cabbages and Kings," "Donde Esta El Amor" and "Aren't I A Lovely Specimen" — are featured on Michaels' new CD, "Wonderful at Last." A reading of Alyss was recently held in Manhattan, which featured the talents of Naturi Naughton as Alyss, Mary Bond Davis as The Queen, Tammy Lang as the Duchess, Gary Cowling as the Hatter and Tevin Campbell as the Black Rabbit. Michael Schiralli directed the reading with musical direction by Mark Berman.
