News Songwriters Unite! Tom Kitt Will Join Jason Robert Brown in Concert This Month Tony Award winner Tom Kitt (If/Then, Next to Normal) will join Tony Award-winning composer, lyricist, conductor and director Jason Robert Brown for his April 20 concert at New York City's SubCulture music club.

The 8 PM concert on April 20 is sold out, but tickets were still available for the 10 PM concert as of 5 PM Wednesday.

As previously announced, Brown (The Last Five Years, Honeymoon in Vegas) will take up a yearlong residency at SubCulture. 

According to the venue, the concerts "will incorporate an eclectic mix of material, featuring music from throughout his acclaimed career, along with new works in development. Plus, there's always the possibility of some very special guests stopping by to join Jason."

Scheduled 2015 artist-in-residence concerts are April 20, May 15, June 8, July 6, Aug. 15, Sept. 11, Oct. 1 and Nov. 2. Tickets to every 2015 artist-in-residence concert are currently on sale.

The Dec. 6, 2014, launch concert featured, for the first time on one stage, original cast members from every one of his New York productions, including Songs for A New World, The Bridges of Madison County and more.

Brown earned Tony Awards for The Bridges of Madison County (Best Score, Best Orchestrations) and Parade (Best Score). His works also include Songs for a New World, The Last Five Years, 13 and Urban Cowboy. His new musical Honeymoon in Vegas arrived on Broadway Nov. 18 and closed April 5. The film adaptation of his The Last Five Years premiered in February 2015, while 13 is also in development for the screen.
