News Sony's Out-of-Print Albums, Featuring Bernstein, Streisand, Yeston, Will Get Digital Release Sony's Masterworks Broadway label is continuing to make more of its out-of-print catalog available by digitally releasing theatre-related recordings, beginning Aug. 10 with "The Leonard Bernstein Songbook."

Each of the recently out-of-print recordings will be available for download only via major digital service providers. Starting Aug. 10, the weekly digital releases will be accompanied by new album pages and photos (when available) on www.MasterworksBroadway.com.

According to a statement, "Masterworks Broadway is committed to eventually releasing all musical theatre recordings in its catalog, including Broadway, Off-Broadway, studio and international cast albums, as well as key 'cover' recordings of theatrical songs and scores. Coming albums include:

Aug. 10 – "The Leonard Bernstein Songbook"

Aug. 17 – "Jerry Hadley: Standing Room Only"

Aug. 24 – "Harolyn Blackwell: A Simple Song"

Aug. 31 – "Celebrate Broadway, Vol.1: Sing Happy!"

Other albums to be released in the coming months include further volumes of the "Celebrate Broadway" series, Maury Yeston's Goya featuring Plàcido Domingo, Pin and Needles featuring Barbra Streisand, "Robert Goulet: On Broadway," "Harold Sings Arlen (with friend)" and more.

"We are excited to bring these important titles out of the archives and into the ears of both collectors and a new generation of listeners," said Alex Miller, general manager and senior vice president of Sony Masterworks.
