Theatre music finds a place on British soprano Lesley Garrett's new recording, "Travelling Light," getting its US release by EMI Classics March 26. The opera, concert, recording and TV star sings Gershwin's "Bess, You Is My Woman Now" (with Bryn Terfel); the Les Misérables ballad "I Dreamed a Dream"; Brecht and Weill's "Alabama Song"; Harburg and Arlen's "Over the Rainbow"; and West Side Story's "A Boy Like That" paired with "I Have a Love" (with Denyce Graves).
The disc also includes "Surrender"/"The Wonder of You," "Ave Maria," " For No One"/"Blackbird," "Mambo Italiano," "The Summer Knows," "Two Hearts, One Love," "La Violet," "Et Si Demain" and "On Holy Ground."
