LOS ANGELES -- The Cross Over, a new play written and directed by Gene H. Butler, recently had its world premiere at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks. It will close Sun. Dec. 20 but then reopen in early January 1999. A dark comedy about souls in limbo, Cross Over depicts a cosmic Suicides Anonymous program which resembles a Dantesque purgatory of ghoulish souls.
