Some Kind Of Wonderful!, according to the Manalapan, FL, company devoted to contemporary American theatre, "celebrates a particular time in our musical history, 1960-1963, the years of Camelot, when four distinct styles and sounds crossed generational and cultural divides and made way for the future of modern song: Sinatra, Streisand, The Beatles and Motown were all at the very top of the charts."
Five singers — three women and two men, three of whom will also play musical instruments — will bring these influences to life. A three-piece band is also in the mix. Expect music made popular by Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Streisand, The Beatles, The Temptations, The Supremes, Connie Francis, Wilson Pickett, The Drifters, The Four Seasons and more.
Some Kind Of Wonderful! previews July 1-2 and opens July 3. The show runs through Aug. 30.
