News South Pacific's Szot, O'Hara, Morrison and More Featured on New Podcast Series Fans of South Pacific will have the opportunity to explore the Tony-nominated production through the Masterworks Broadway Podcast Theatre.

Masterworks Broadway — which released the show's cast recording on May 27 — has conducted interviews with the stars of South Pacific, including Matthew Morrison and 2008 Tony nominees Paulo Szot, Kelli O'Hara, Danny Burstein and Loretta Ables Sayre.

In addition to the South Pacific cast members, the free podcasts will also feature interviews with the musical's Tony-nominated director Bartlett Sher and conductor Ted Sperling, who leads South Pacific's 30-piece orchestra.

Currently available podcasts on the Masterworks website feature interviews with Bartlett Sher, Danny Burstein and Paulo Szot. Upcoming podcasts include Sayre or O'Hara (June 17), Sperling (June 24), Sayre or O'Hara (July 1) and Morrison (July 8).

Released on the Masterworks Broadway label, the 2008 revival cast recording of South Pacific features complete lyrics, synopsis, color production photos and an essay by Lincoln Center Theater artistic director Andre Bishop.

The new Lincoln Center Theater staging includes the song "My Girl Back Home." A duet between Lt. Cable and Nellie Forbush, the song was cut from the original Broadway production but reinstated for the 1958 film adaptation. South Pacific also boasts a 30-piece orchestra performing the musical's original orchestrations by Robert Russell Bennett and dance and incidental music arrangements by Trude Rittmann.
