The Off-Broadway Alliance has announced that its 20at20 promotion—which offers $20 tickets to a number of Off-Broadway shows 20 minutes prior to curtain—will return September 5–24. The special offer will last for 20 days and includes a number of hit shows like Avenue Q, Spamilton, Puffs, Curvy Widow, and the acclaimed London staging of A Clockwork Orange.
The semi-annual 20at20 initiative is now in its 11th year. Theatregoers can purchase the discounted tickets from the box office by simply showing up 20 minutes before the show stars.
“What can you do in New York for 20 bucks? You can see a movie, have a drink at a bar, bowl a few games, or just stay home and order some Chinese food. Or you can do something that's available only in New York—you can go see amazing actors on stage in exciting new shows by the best new playwrights and composers, with great seats in an intimate Off Broadway theatre,“ says Peter Breger, president of the Off-Broadway Alliance. “And for 20 bucks each, you may as well see two or three—or more!”
