The musical has book and lyrics by Sammy Buck (Like You Like It, And Then I Wrote A Song About It) and music and lyrics by Brandon James Gwinn (Matchmaker, Matchmaker – I’m Ready to Settle).

In addition to Green (Wicked), Peck (The Toxic Avenger) and Galvin (The Burnt Part Boys), the cast will include Kristen da Costa, Scott Denny, Jessica Kent, Carolyn Mignini (Tintypes, I Married Wyatt Earp), Ariela Morgenstern (I Married Wyatt Earp), Jake Odmark (Really Really), Charlie Owens (A Man of No Importance), Michael Pesce, Babs Rubenstein, Anthony Romeo (Seussical) and Shorey Walker (Seussical).

Speargrove Presents, according to the authors, "is about two families in the North Texas town of Speargrove who struggle with a community battle ignited by a high school production of Rent. Speargrove Presents is loosely based on events that happened in Rowlett, Texas in 2008. It also draws upon numerous related accounts that occurred throughout the country over the past four years."

The Cell is located at 338 West 23rd Street in Chelsea, NY. Tickets are $10. To make a reservation e-mail [email protected]. Visit NYTheatreBarn.org.
