Carnegie Hall hosts an evening of standards and pop songs when Carol Woods stars in "An Evening with Carol Woods," on Nov. 27 at Weill Recital Hall.
Recently seen in Woody Allen's film, "Sweet and Lowdown" singing "All of Me," Woods has toured the world doing solo concerts, and received an Olivier nomination for her role in Blues In The Night. She co-starred with Bernadette Peters and Martin Short in The Goodbye Girl and performed in the Leiber and Stoller-driven hit, Smokey Joe's Cafe.
Woods has been linked to the Roundabout Theatre Company revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies which will run at the Belasco next spring and will be featured in a new PBS special to be filmed at the Firebird Cafe in New York in November.
, Woods performs at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall on Mon., Nov. 27, at 8 PM. The two-act concert is being directed by Jack Wrangler and will feature a full band.
