News Spider-Man Writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa Signs on for "Carrie" Remake and "Glee" Playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has signed on to co-produce and write for the hit Fox series "Glee" as well as pen the screenplay for a "Carrie" remake, according to Deadline.com.

Aguirre-Sacasa's version of "Carrie," from MGM and Screen Gems, will be a more faithful adaptation of Stephen King's thriller about the teenage outcast who discovers she has telekinetic powers and wreaks havoc on her fellow high school students.

The playwright and comic book writer recently joined the creative team of Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark to revise the book of the musical that will officially open June 14.

Aguirre-Sacasa has also written Spider-Man stories for Marvel Comics and has penned the plays Good Boys and True, Based on a Totally True Story, The Mystery Plays and The Muckle Man.
