The Joe Iconis Rock and Roll Jamboree, according to press notes, is "a laid-back evening of Iconis tunes, featuring cuts from Joe's recently-orphaned musical The Black Suits, and a bunch of new songs. Songs of hate and hope, suburbia and pornography, cougars and jailbait, dead people and livin' things and more sing-alongs than you can shake a glass of whiskey at."

Joe Iconis, who received his MFA from the NYU/Tisch Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program, is a recipient of both the Jonathan Larson Award and the Daryl Roth Award. A production of Iconis' Black Suits, which was scheduled to begin in May at MCC Theatre, was recently canceled.

John Gallagher, Jr. made his Broadway debut in Rabbit Hole and won a Tony Award for his work as Moritz in Spring Awakening. He has also been seen in stagings of Current Events, Kimberly Akimbo and the U.K. premiere of Fuddy Meers. Gallagher's screen credits include "The West Wing," "Law & Order," "NYPD Blue," "Ed," "Love Monkey" and "The Flamingo Rising." His band is named Old Springs Pike.
