News   "Squid and Whale" Star Eisenberg, Now Off-Broadway, Appears on CW 11 Morning News Sept. 6 Jesse Eisenberg, now starring in Atlantic Theater Company's world-premiere production of Lucy Thurber's play Scarcity, will appear on CW 11 Morning News in the 8 AM half-hour Sept. 6.

Lauded for playing an aching teen in the feature film "The Squid and the Whale, Eisenberg will discuss both his return to the New York stage and his co-starring role opposite Richard Gere in the feature film "The Hunting Party," which opens nationwide on Sept. 7. "CW 11 Morning News" airs daily from 7-9 AM on WPIX, Channel 11 in the New York metropolitan area and New Jersey.

Jesse Eisenberg recently appeared on stage opposite Al Pacino in Lyle Kessler's play Orphans in Los Angeles. He earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for his role opposite Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels in the acclaimed independent film "The Squid and the Whale" and stars opposite Richard Gere and Terrence Howard in the "The Hunting Party."

Atlantic Theater Company's world-premiere production of Thurber's Scarcity, directed by Jackson Gay (The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow), began previews Aug. 29 and officially opens Sept. 20. The limited engagement plays through Oct. 14 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company at the Linda Gross Theater on West 20th Street.

Scarcity also stars Atlantic Company members Kristen Johnston, Maggie Kiley and Todd Weeks and guest artists Meredith Brandt, Miriam Shor and Michael T. Weiss.
