The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation will host "A Conversation Between Moises Kaufman and Mary Overlie" May 19 at 6:30 PM at 1501 Broadway, Suite 1701.
Kaufman is best known for directing the Off-Broadway hit, Gross Indecency: the Trials of Oscar Wilde. The founder and Artistic Director of Tectonic Theater Project, he won the 1997 Joey A. Callaway Award for excellence in the craft of direction and choreography, granted by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation.
Overlie is the creator of "The View Points," a system whose purpose is to describe the skills and vocabulary used to create theatre and dance. "The View Points" is improvisational, using elements of space, time shape, emotion, kinesthetic movement and story.
Registration is free for SSDC members and $5 for all others. For reservations and additional information, call the SDC Foundation at (212) 302-5359.
