The musical, which features a book by Ivan Menchell, will open New Line's 24th season next fall. The short-lived Broadway musical opened Dec. 1, 2011, at the Schoenfeld Theatre and played for 36 regular performances.

Like the company did with High Fidelity and Cry-Baby, New Lines hopes "to bring this smart, intense, sexy show back to life and spur new productions in regional theatre across America. With a score full of jazz, blues, gospel, and rockabilly by composer Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel) and lyricist Don Black (Tell Me on a Sunday, Sunset Boulevard), and a script by Ivan Menchell, this is a powerful, emotional story that never pulls its punches or backs away from the brutality at the heart of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow's passionate, psychotic relationship."

New Line's 23rd season continues with the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock opera Rent, running March 6-29, 2014, and the regional premiere of Hands on a Hardbody, running May 29-June 21, 2014.

New Line's mainstage is located at the Washington University South Campus Theatre (formerly CBC High School) at 6501 Clayton Road (just east of Big Bend). For more information, visit NewLineTheatre.com.
