As previously reported by Playbill.com, Manhattan Concert Productions, which invites qualified orchestras, choirs and various musical ensembles from across the country to perform in renowned venues throughout the U.S. and abroad, is presenting Ragtime as part of its inaugural Broadway Concert Series.

The concert promises a host of Broadway stars and a full chorus. Casting has not been announced.

Tickets will go on sale through the Avery Fisher Hall box office Nov. 30.

Following its London premiere, Arima also staged Ragtime for the Paper Mill Playhouse in 2005. He most recently directed the Off-Broadway revival of Carrie. His upcoming projects include Allegiance, Bare and A Separate Peace.

Based on the E.L. Doctorow novel, Ragtime interweaves the stories of three distinct families with historical figures to offer a snapshot of America at the turn of the century.

Ragtime has a book by Terrence McNally, music by Flaherty and lyrics by Ahrens. The musical opened on Broadway at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Jan. 18, 1998, earning Tony Awards for Best Score, Best Book, Best Orchestrations and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Audra McDonald. A 2009 revival played the Neil Simon Theatre.
