News Stage Stars Shine in "The Class" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" on TV, Sept. 18 While many theatres are dark on Mondays, television screens will provide ample wattage of Broadway stars who fill the casts of two new shows that premiere Sept. 18.

On CBS, "The Class" debuts at 8 PM (ET, Check your local listings.) Jason Ritter (Third) stars with Andrea Anders (The Graduate), Heather Goldenhersh (Doubt) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) as former third grade classmates who reunite almost 20 years later.

Julie Halston (Gypsy) and Sam Harris (The Life) also appear on the half hour comedy created by David Crane (Epic Proportions, "Friends") and Jeffrey Klarik ("Mad About You").

Later in the same evening, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" premieres for NBC at 10 PM (ET). A Few Good Men playwright Aaron Sorkin pens the new behind-the scenes show about a sketch comedy show in the fast-paced vein of his previous hits "Sports Night" and "The West Wing."

Starring in the hour-long show will be Matthew Perry (Sexual Perversity in Chicago), Amanda Peet (Barefoot in the Park), Bradley Whitford (A Few Good Men, Three Days of Rain), Sarah Paulson (The Glass Menagerie, Colder Than Here), Steven Weber (The Producers) and Timothy Busfield (A Few Good Men).

Evan Handler (Six Degrees of Separation, I Hate Hamlet), Michael Stuhlbarg (The Pillowman, Cabaret) and Donna Murphy (Wonderful Town) will also appear. Both shows will continue to play Mondays in the same respective time slot.
