What show recently impressed you?
I would have to say Follies, but that could be a biased opinion because I'm a bit partial to its cast and creator. I also loved Venus in Fur; Manhattan Theatre Club is pretty much perfect. And the one-night-only concert of The Visit benefiting The Actor's Fund was incredible. Definitely worth bringing to Broadway.

What production are you most excited to see?
Private Lives and Other Desert Cities. Why? Because a good play is hard to come by!

What play/musical would you most like to be revived on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
There are so, so many. If it were a musical, I'd like to do Tobias in Sweeney Todd or Frankie Epps in Parade. I'd also really like to play Billy in The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? by Edward Albee or Marchbanks in Candida.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
About a month ago, I played Ariel in a new production of The Tempest at Dallas Theatre Center, and also did three readings - one was Master Harold...and the Boys, another a new musical by Charles Busch and Sam Davis, and the other I can't talk about publicly, but it will be coming to Broadway in the near future. 

*** Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, a performer since he was eight years old, has appeared in concerts and regional productions across the country. About a week after graduating Carnegie Mellon in May 2009, he arrived in New York City and had his first audition. After his callback, attended by both director Trevor Nunn and Stephen Sondheim, he was told he landed the role of pent-up seminary student Henrik Egerman in Broadway's A Little Night Music. He recently played Ariel in the Dallas Theater Center's production of William Shakespeare's The Tempest, and he has also been seen at the Utah Shakespearean Festival and West Virginia Public Theater. He made his New York cabaret debut at Feinstein's at Loews Regency.
