Here, via email, we hear from Bedlam Theatre Company artistic director Eric Tucker, who is currently starring in the company's repertory productions of Saint Joan and Hamlet, which he also directed, at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre.

What show recently impressed you?
Has to be a toss-up between Twelfth Night/Richard III and No Man's Land/Waiting for Godot. I've been a huge admirer of Mark Rylance for years, and Tim Carroll's work is so clear and beautiful. The entire cast is a joy to watch. Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart basically give a master class in acting each night, and I don't think you'll see either of those plays done better anywhere.

What production are you most excited to see?
A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. I think Jefferson Mays is fantastic, and I've heard the production is brilliant. Also will be great to see Bryan Cranston on stage in All The Way.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
The Crucible, because I want to play John Proctor. Would love to have a crack at directing it as well.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm currently playing multiple roles in Saint Joan by George Bernard Shaw and the title role in Hamlet, Off-Broadway at the Lynn Redgrave Theater (45 Bleecker Street). The productions run in repertory and feature the same four actors playing all the roles. I'm also the director of both shows. I'm developing several other projects with my theatre company, Bedlam, as well as directing Two Gentlemen of Verona for Hudson Valley Shakespeare in the summer. I'm slated to play Brutus in Julius Caesar in a co-production between Orlando Shakespeare, Prague Shakespeare and Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA, which will be directed by Tina Packer.
