What show recently impressed you?
I was blown away by Peter and The Starcatcher. Kudos to Roger Rees, Alex Timbers, Steven Hoggett and the entire company for transporting audiences with masterful storytelling! It's great to see that show continue to play to new audiences at New World Stages. I also really enjoyed The Great God Pan at Playwrights Horizons. Amy Herzog is a superlative new voice in American playwriting.

What production are you most excited to see?
My wife and I are seeing Matilda as soon as I am back in town. We both loved the book as kids, and have heard nothing but fantastic things! And, hopefully we can get a tickets to see Love's Labour's Lost, A New Musical at Shakespeare in the Park this summer.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
Just get me back there! But, if you're giving me the choice… I'd sell my kidney to play Candide, George in Sunday in the Park with George, the Baron in Grand Hotel or Archibald in The Secret Garden.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I am currently at the Pioneer Theatre in Salt Lake City, leading the uprising as Enjolras in Les Miserables [through June 1], and enjoying every second of it! It's a great company of actors and a phenomenal place to work. I've been looking for an opportunity to play this role for a long time, so it's incredibly fulfilling to get to play him and sing this score. After that, it's back to my home state of California to join the San Francisco Symphony for a concert version of West Side Story. I'm playing Riff and can't wait to sing some of Bernstein's most iconic tunes with that incredible orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Michael Tilson Thomas! And, we are making a recording!
