Here, via email, we hear from singing actress Renee Marino, who will be seen in Clint Eastwood's upcoming film version of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Jersey Boys.

What show recently impressed you?
The show that recently impressed me was Soul Doctor. I honestly did not know what to expect, but the performance of my friend Eric Anderson in the lead role of Shlomo Carlebach blew me away. His ability to completely lose himself in the role of the singing rabbi was thrilling to watch. He truly brought the audience along with him into every emotion he experienced! Seeing that freedom as a performer brought me to tears!

There is another show that I must give attention to, which is an Off Off-Broadway show at the Cell Theatre. It's called Kelly Kinsella Live - When Thoughts Attack, written and performed by Kelly Kinsella. This woman is incredible! She is a powerhouse actress that had me laughing out loud throughout the entire show because she is plain and simply committed to everything she does in her performance!

What production are you most excited to see?
The shows that I am looking forward to seeing are Pippin, Kinky Boots and, as crazy as it is that I haven't seen it yet, The Book of Mormon. In addition, I cannot wait to see one of my favorite movies, Rocky, as a stage show!

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
If I could have another show be back on Broadway, it would be Damn Yankees, and I would love to play the role of Lola! What a dream that would be! What are your current/upcoming projects?
Right now I am preparing to head back out to LA in January for pilot season. I was just there for over a month in September filming my first movie "Jersey Boys," and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! Having the experience of working with a legend like Clint Eastwood and his beautiful team was a complete honor and a blessing! I'm looking forward to pursuing my career in the TV/film world while always remaining open to the wonderful opportunities that lay in my foundation - theatre!
