What show recently impressed you?
I have to say Book of Mormon because the writers and the directors were able to capture not only wonderful satire, but a big, huge beating heart in the middle of all the silliness. There is such a sweetness and innocence to it. Yes, in the show that says "F--- you, God," there is a real case for faith and religious storytelling. Wow, that was surprising!

What production are you most excited to see?
I did a round of auditions for a show that is going to play Off-Broadway this year called Rated P for Parenthood. It is hilarious, and as an artistic director of a theatre, I can tell you, it is exactly the kind of show I am always looking for. And, I am super proud of my friends David Rossmer and Dan Lipton, who wrote the music and lyrics!

What play/musical would you most like to be revived on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I am not sure all that many peple even know this show, but I have always had a jones to revive The Robber Bridegroom. Rumor has it someone is beating me to it. I have always wanted to play Salome... O.K., so not that I am all that beautiful, but I thought it would make it so interesting if an attractive woman played her and you saw that it was the way she acted that made her ugly — you know, like Snow White's witch instead of the Wicked Witch of the West!

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I have a few things in the works, a couple of concerts with my gorgeous husband [Alan Campbell], and I am an adjunct professor in the musical theatre department at Elon University this year...but mainly auditioning and, as I said, Alan and I run a theatre series called Hot Summer Nights, and our season starts in June and goes through September, so lots of prep for that.
