News "Standup Comedy for Actors Class," Led By Urinetown's Crom, Set for March Rick Crom, who has been seen on Broadway in Urinetown, Footloose and The Goodbye Girl, will offer "Standup Comedy for Actors Class" March 2 and 9.

Presented by The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts School for Film + TV, the two performances will be held at The Comedy Cellar in Manhattan. Show time is 6:15 PM. The evenings will feature five-minute stand-up comedy routines performed by 12 aspiring comics. The Comedy Cellar gig will follow eight sessions in the classroom led by actor-comic Crom.

"Each student will perform their routine on the first evening for an audience of their peers and to a regular NY audience," according to press notes. "Following the performance, Rick Crom will provide feedback and each student will work on their performance until the second date where they will perform their routine once again."

The Comedy Cellar is located in Manhattan at 117 MacDougal Street (between West 3rd and Minetta Lane). There is no cover charge, although there is a two-item (food or drink) minimum.
