Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush will star in "Final Portrait," a new drama about the artist Alberto Giacometti painting a portrait of James Lord.

The film, which is written and directed by Stanley Tucci, is based on Lord’s book "A Giacometti Portrait." It follows how a relationship between Lord, an art critic, and Giacometti changes due to the portrait.

Rush, who won a 2009 Tony Award for his performance in Exit the King, also won an Academy Award for his performance in "Shine" and was Oscar-nominated for his roles in "Shakespeare in Love," "Quills" and "The King's Speech."

Tucci is a Tony Award nominee for Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and directed a revival of Lend Me a Tenor. He received an Academy Award nomination for "The Lovely Bones," and he has also appeared in "The Hunger Games" and "The Devil Wears Prada."

Producers include Gail Egan, Ilan Girard, Fred Hogg and Olive Productions.
