In addition to the many stars appearing on the stage of New York's Roundbout Theatre in Scott Elliott's production of Chekhov's The Three Sisters, a constellation turned out in the opening night audience Feb. 13 as well. A spokesperson for the production reported that the opening night crowed included Glenn Close, Bridget Fonda, Mary-Louise Parker, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Liv Tyler, Anne Meara and son Ben Stiller, F. Murray Abraham, Anne Jackson and Eli Wallach, Olympia Dukakis, playwright Nicky Silver,and a bevy of Elliott's fellow directors: David Warren (Raised in Captivity) , Nicholas Martin (Full Gallop),Barry Edelstein (All My Sons), Scott Ellis (Steel Pier) and Sam Mendes (Cabaret).
The show's cast includes Amy Irving, David Strathairn, Billy Crudup, Lili Taylor, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Calista Flockhart, Jerry Stiller and Eric Stoltz.
