Film and theatre luminaries have donated signed drawings and poems to be auctioned April 27 in New York as a benefit for the Barrow Group theatre company.

The fourth annual Celebrity Doodle and Scribbles Auction will be held at the Princeton Club, 15 West 43rd Street, New York, and will feature a live auction of works by Woody Allen, Angela Bassett, Glenn Close, Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin, Rosie O'Donnell, Al Pacino, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Vonnegut, Barbara Walters and Joanne Woodward, among others.

Other items include tickets to Broadway shows, theatre memorablia (including a Bob Mackie coat valued at $5000), weekend stays at New York hotels, dinners, jewelry, home furnishings, and other merchandise and services.

Nathan Lane is honorary chair of the event.

Proceeds will go to support the Barrow Group's 1998-99 season. The company, awarded the 1995 Drama Desk Award for Best Off-Off Broadway Theatre Company, is best known for its Old Wicked Songs, a Pultizer Prize finalist, and Lonely Planet. Tickets are $45 with $100 sponsor tickets that include an auction program. For tickets, call the Barrow Group at (212) 522-1421.
