In Stella and Lou, Perlman plays a single nurse who is friendly with the owner of a Philadelphia bar. The cast also includes Ed Flynn as Donny and Francis Guinan as Lou.

Four-time Emmy winner Perlman starred as Carla on "Cheers." Her stage credits include Love, Loss and What I Wore, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, The Exonerated, Last Night at Ballyhoo and Boeing Boeing. She has appeared in the films "The Sessions," "Sunset Park," "Canadian Bacon" and "Carpool." Her television work includes "Hung," "Law & Order: SVU," "Kate Brasher," "Hot in Cleveland" and "Pearl."

"On a quiet night at Lou's bar, two kindred spirits seek solace as they navigate changing times and relationships past," press notes state. "From the author of The Outgoing Tide comes an intimate exploration of friendship, forgiveness, and the longing for companionship that grows with the passage of time."

The creative team includes Brian Sidney (scenic design), Rachel Laritz (costume design), JR Lederle (lighting design) and Andrew Hansen (sound design). Rita Vreeland is the production stage manager, and BJ Jones is the director.
