Presented under the auspices of Theatre Royal Bath Productions, the tour will commence at Plymouth's Theatre Royal, beginning performances Nov. 2 for a run through Nov. 6. The tour will continue to Cambridge, Croydon, Chichester and Bath before Christmas, and will then resume in 2011 with dates in Guildford, Richmond, Brighton and Cheltenham.

The play will be directed by Jonathan Church, artistic director of Chichester Festival Theatre.

Beacham is best known for playing the role of Sable Colby in TV's "The Colbys" and "Dynasty." Other TV credits include "Tenko" and "Bad Girls." She was also seen in the sixth series of the UK's "Strictly Come Dancing" and plays Martha in "Coronation Street." She has also been featured in "Celebrity Big Brother 2010." Her stage credits include a recent appearance in a tour of Noel Coward's Hay Fever for director Peter Hall.

According to publicity materials, "Maria Callas remains one of the towering figures of the opera world. She is as famous for her turbulent private life, her passionate love affair with the tycoon Aristotle Onassis, her rivalry with other opera singers and her untimely death in 1977, as for her extraordinary musical and dramatic talents. Inspired by the master classes Callas gave in New York in the early seventies, this play invites audiences to observe the great diva in action as she puts three aspiring singers through their paces."
