New York City Center will welcome a series of dance and musical theatre artists as part of its expanded Studio 5 and Front & Center series in its upcoming 75th anniversary season.
Front & Center, which offers master classes for emerging and aspiring musical theatre performers and creators, will feature a composition master class from Tony and Pulitzer winning Tom Kitt and classes exploring technique, song selection, and interpretation from Tony winner Lea Salonga and Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block.
The Studio 5 series gives audiences a look into an artist’s experience beyond what might be seen on stage with talks and performances in the studio. This season’s programming will focus largely on dance—particularly the works of George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. Guest artists include NYCB Principal Dancer Tiler Peck, Emmy winner and Tony nominee Joshua Bergasse, and ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.
Tickets for all events are $30 dollars and will go on sale to members August 27 before a September 4 general on-sale.
