Stephen Rea, Lindsay Duncan and Janet McTeer have joined the cast of BBC2's "The Honourable Woman," according to TheStage.

The seven-part drama will also feature Maggie Gyllenhaal, Katherine Parkinson, Lubna Azbal and Andrew Buchan in its cast of almost 100 actors.

Here's how the series is billed: "Set against the gripping international backdrop of paranoia and espionage, 'The Honourable Woman' follows one woman's personal journey to right the wrongs conducted in her past. From the corridors of governmental power, to Whitehall and MI6, Washington and the CIA, to Israel and the Palestinian Territories — the visual backdrop of BLICK's gripping drama is as stunning and refined as the story that drives it."

Academy Award nominee Gyllenhaal has appeared in Uncle Vanya and The Three Sisters at the Classic Stage Company. Her film work includes "Away We Go," "The Dark Knight" and "Secretary." Tony winner Duncan's stage credits include Private Lives, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. Her film work includes "Mansfield Park," "An Ideal Husband" and "Alice in Wonderland."

Academy Award nominee Rea has appeared on Broadway in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me and on screen in "V for Vendetta," "The Good Shepherd" and "Fever Pitch." Tony winner and two-time Academy Award nominee McTeer's stage work includes Mary Stuart, God of Carnage and A Doll's House, and she has appeared in the films "Albert Nobbs," "The Woman in Black" and "Tumbleweeds."

Written by Hugo Blick, who penned "The Shadow Line," "The Honourable Woman" is a co-production between Drama Republic, Eight Rooks Productions and the Sundance Channel. The series will also be screened in the U.S. by the Sundance Channel.
