News Stephen Schwartz's Children of Eden to Return to West End Stephen Schwartz and John Caird's 1991 flop biblical musical Children of Eden will be revived in the West End for a one-night-only charity concert Jan. 29, 2012, at the Prince of Wales Theatre.

Featuring a cast of 75, the show will be directed by Drew Baker, with musical supervision and direction by James Draisey, sets and lighting by Ben Rogers and choreography by Lizzie Gee.

The cast will include Oliver Thornton, Anton Stephans, Emma Barton, Gareth Gates, Brenda Edwards, Lauren Samuels, Waylon Jacobs and John Wilding, and the evening will conclude with a guest appearance by Kerry Ellis. Further casting is to be announced.

The musical, based on the book of Genesis, is described in press materials as being about parents, children and faith, with a message that the hardest part of love is letting go.

It is being staged to raise awareness of the chronic and debilitating condition, Crohn’s disease and all proceeds will be donated to Crohn's and Colitis UK. It is produced by Tony Green in association with Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment.
