HOUSTON -– Ah, nothing like a bit o' competition, aye lasses and laddies? The MasterCard Broadway series recently announced that Riverdance will strut its Irish stuff at Jones Hall June 17 - 27, 1999. In the meantime, the fancy-footed impresarios at the new Aerial Theater at Bayou Place booked Riverdance alum Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance May 12 - 17, 1998. Talk about stomp. . .apparently nursing an injury, Flatley won't appear in the Houston stopover. Understudy John Carey puts his best foot forward instead.
