News Sternhagen, Seldes and Thomas to Be Part of Symphony Space’s Shorts Series Several Broadway veterans will take part in Selected Shorts: A Celebration of the Short Story next month at Manhattan’s Symphony Space.

The first of two events will be held Feb. 8 at 6:30 PM in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. Hosted by Isaiah Sheffer, “Banned: Stories by Censored Writers and Dissidents” will feature “moving and provocative tales from Iran and Indonesia” read by Joe Morton, Frances Sternhagen and Richard Thomas. On Feb. 22 at 8 PM, also in the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, host Jonathan Lethem will lead an evening focusing on “fantastic tales about humans and animals.” Marian Seldes and Malachy McCourt will read works by James Thurber, Italo Calvino and Jorge Luis Borges.
