News Stomp Into 2000 In DC, Broadcast Live Dec. 31 on CBS Stomp, in its touring form, will stomp its way into the year 2000 as a part of the Quincy Jones-CBS special, "America's Millennium," broadcasting from Washington, DC Dec. 31.

Stomp, in its touring form, will stomp its way into the year 2000 as a part of the Quincy Jones-CBS special, "America's Millennium," broadcasting from Washington, DC Dec. 31. President and Mrs. Clinton will be on hand for the three-hour extravaganza which will also feature filmdom's Will Smith as host and a series of guests including actor Jack Nicholson, pop stars Tom Jones and Celine Dion and sports legend Muhammad Ali. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the free event, being held in the mall in front of the Lincoln Memorial.

CBS will broadcast the event from 10PM-1AM Eastern Standard Time. Check local listings for other areas.

The Off-Broadway company of Stomp will perform Dec. 31 at 8PM at the Orpheum Theatre. For tickets, call (212) 477-2477.
