Originally scheduled to play Aug. 20-23, the international touring production of the dance revue Stomp, extended its performance schedule at Mexico City's Teatro Alameda, Aug. 19-30. The last time Mexico saw Stomp was in September 1997, when the group enjoyed several sold-out performances at the Teatro Metropolitan.

The award-winning show is presented in Mexico by The Entertainment Group is association with Televiteatro. The Stomp cast uses everyday objects to create unusual sounds that take audiences into an adventure of bodies and objects in movement.

Conceived and directed by Luke Creswell and Steve McNicholas, Stomp previewed in 1991 at London's Bloomsbury Theatre and premiered at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh, where it became the "Critic´s Choice" of the Guardian, and won the Daily Express "Best of the Fringe" award. In subsequent years, Stomp played in Australia, Spain, Ireland, Italy, France, Greece and Canada among other countries. The Off-Broadway hit production of Stomp opened in February 1994 at the Orpheum Theatre where it´s still playing.
