News Streep Tease to Reopen March 12 in Los Angeles Streep Tease: An Evening of Meryl Streep Monologues Performed by An All-Male Cast will reopen March 12 after a winter hiatus at the Bang Improv Theater in Los Angeles.

The show, which first opened Sept. 5, 2009, was created by Roy Cruz, who appears in the cast with David Dean Bottrell, Bryan T. Donovan, Ron Morehouse, Matthew Nouriel, Joel Scher and Trent Walker. Ezra Weisz will direct, and Fred Tallaksen will choreograph. According to previous press notes, "Meryl Streep's prodigious body of film work serves as the inspiration and fascination for Streep Tease, an all-male cast's re-interpretation of some of the revered actresses' most iconic scenes. Included are monologues from the comedies 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Death Becomes Her,' the thriller 'The River Wild' and the serious drama of 'Out of Africa' and 'Silkwood.' Though drawn from the dramatic and comedic 'Canon of Cinema Streep,' all of the scenes evolve into a hilarious, outlandish, kooky and sometimes campy romp through Streep's film repertoire."

Cruz recently wrote and produced the short film "Keisha vs. Geisha" and performed on the Logo series "Wisecrack." He frequently performs as a stand-up comedian and actor in Los Angeles and on the West Coast.

The Bang Improv Theater is located at 457 North Fairfax Ave. in Los Angeles. For tickets ($20) call (323) 653-6886 or visit www.bangstudio.com.
