Striking 12, according to press notes, is the story of "a Grumpy Guy who decides to avoid the hectic, loveless world on New Year's Eve, until he’s visited by an incandescent salesgirl with the promise to chase away his winter doldrums." The musical, which combines "pop-rock, musical comedy and old-fashioned uplift," made its New York premiere in December 2005 at the Ars Nova; the musical has also been seen in regional engagements throughout the country.
The creative team comprises David Korins (scenic design), Tobin Ost (costume design), Michael Gilliam (lighting design) and Rob Killenberger (sound design). Nancy Nagel Gibbs produces.
The Daryl Roth Theatre is located in Manhattan at 101 E. 15th Street. Tickets, priced $35-$75, will be available beginning Oct. 12 by calling (212) 239-6200. The theatre's box office will open for business Oct. 23. For more information visit www.striking12.com.
