Select episodes of "Theater Talk," the acclaimed PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, will now be available to the hearing impaired. Theatre Development Fund's Theatre Access Project will make closed captioning available for several episodes of the PBS program.

The Aug. 2 airing of "Theater Talk" is the first in a special series of closed captioned episodes and will feature interviews with legendary actress Elaine Stritch and director George C. Wolfe, who helmed her Tony-winning Broadway show Elaine Stritch At Liberty. Stritch will discuss her award-winning show, which began life at the Public Theater, as well as her struggle with sobriety.

This is the second year that the TAP Plus program has made closed captioned episodes of the theatre chat show possible. These episodes will also air on PBS stations in Boston and Hartford, and copies will be donated to the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday night at 12:30 AM on WNET/Thirteen.
